RTRFM

The RTRFM Training Course is designed to teach you the basics of presenting radio on RTRFM. It will teach you how to present, interview, curate and produce a radio program on RTRFM. It is not accredited with a qualification.

On successful completed the course, you can become a member of the station and will be given the opportunity to present overnight programs. You will be required to present at least three (3) of these programs before being able to move to another show. Please note, RTRFM runs on collective based system and the chance to present a show you want may take some time.

Course Requirements:

>> You do not need to bring anything for the course.

>> You will be required to know basic computer skills, ie how to use a mouse, how to use basic search engines, how to check emails and use basic computer based programs.

>> The course is lots of information in a short period of time so you will be required to make time to both practice and to read information outside of contact hours.

>> At the end of the course you must produce a 20 minute desk test including a interview to showcase you understand the basic skills to present a live radio show. This must be completed on time and within the parameters set. If you finished this outside the deadline, your completion of the course could be held up.

>> You must be 18 to attend the course and present on RTRFM

The date you sign up to is the first day of the course. The course is six weeks long, 2 hours per week on the same day each week. We'll contact you around a week in advance the course starting to confirm your attendance and provide more information.

Please note that the RTRFM studios are located on the first floor and are only accessible via stairs.

Payment for the course is needed before commencement. If you need to make payment in instalments, please contact RTRFM to arrange.
